PowerBuilder has no future and Microsoft technologies interest me more than Java. I have done some Java and have extensive Transact-SQL experience in stored procedures and triggers in SQL Server, Sybase and Oracle. I have obtained Microsoft certifications in C# Windows Applications(70-536, 70-526), SQL Server ( 70-433) , and ADO.Net (70-561). I can't seem to get any interest from employers and I feel like these certifications may have been a waste of my time and money. I am now considering taking an ASP Web Development class but want to be find one that will actually help with my job search. I have applied for jr positions and am willing to take a significant pay cut. I live in the Atlanta area but I am not familiar with who the reputable training companies are. Can anyone give me advice on finding some training that will actually benefit my job search? What training companies are respected by employers? I am currently unemployed and the training expenses are coming out of my savings so I really need to find something worthwhile. Thank you for any suggestions that you may have. SharePoint development Workflow foundation Silverlight development In my understanding, above skills are in demand these days. Don’t go for anymore certifications at this point, I would suggest you to learn skills which are hot and get a job and then go for certification to validate your skills with some experience. Not familiar with any good institute in Atlanta, but if you are interested in traveling (New York/Las Vegas), you can check www.netcominfo.com There is no perfect answer for your questions so tried to answer it with best of my knowledge. Hope this is helpful. Rubel Khan - MY BLOG! If your question was truly answered, please mark it as Answered and Vote as helpful. Thank you in advance. I'm currently working on an ASP project for a relative which will hopefully give me some exposure as well. I will look into those other topics as well.
