Marmot Pro Tour Jacket - A solid technical soft shell that is windproof, water resistant and highly breathable would be The Men’s Pro Tour Jacket by Marmot. The Men’s Pro Tour Jacket is part of Marmots M2 Series, offering you a great balance between weather resistance, breathability and thermal protection. With Polartec PowerShield fabric, The Men’s Pro Tour Jacket (70930) by Marmot offers you a highly breathable piece that spreads and evaporates moisture away from the skin for when you’re working up a sweat skate skiing on some Nordic ski trail. With an athletic fit and Angel-Wing Movement, The Pro Tour Jacket will help increase performance and will offer you un-restricted range of motion while out on the ski trail. A perfect jacket that can be worn biking, on a long brisk run or even on a blue bird spring ski day at the mountain where breathability and protection from the elements is key, The Pro Tour Jacket is a durable piece, perfect for three seasons.Lining and Layers:DriClime-lined chin guard is soft on your chin so you won't experience chafingFabric:Large interior skin pocket uses mesh construction so your body heat can help to keep your skins from freezing when you're descendingInsulation:Attached hood has a storm bill and a peripheral drawcord adjustment so you can cinch the hood down for extra protectionWeather and Wind:Marmot M2 Softshell has a high warmth-to-weight ratio, breathes to help regulate temperature, resists light moisture and precipitation, and blocks wind to protect you during gusty stormsPockets:Chest Pack Pockets are located where your backpack waist-belt and sternum strap won't interfere so you can access these wide pockets even with a pack onFeatures:Angel-Wing Movement means that this jacket has an articulated cut that provides maximum range of motion in the arms in shoulders Backcountry.comWeatherproof enough for winter's deepest days.Except for brutally wet weather, the Marmot Men's Pro Tour Softshell Jacket handles the elements with ease. Marmot Pro Tour Jacket Review: Reviews:I'm 5'9'' 158lbs, 32" waist, 40" chest and have used Marmot products for twenty years, always in a medium. The problem with the Pro Tour is that the chest is so snug that it renders the jacket's features useless.Try and fit a pair of skins in the interior mesh pocket (like the Exum guide in the video) and the jacket will bulge out becoming very awkward and uncomfortable. The same is true of the exterior pack pockets, anything more than a thin pair of gloves and an energy bar and the fit of the jacket is compromised. Further, even minimal layering makes it all worse. So, if you order true to size, don't expect to be able to do anything like the Exum guy in the video review. Even a pair of gloves, like the ones he was using, made me feel like I had some strange growth protruding from my chest. Also, the hood is quite snug, definitely not helmet compatible, if that's a deal breaker for you.I didn't try a large, but because the sleeve and torso length were true to size on the medium, I would imagine that the large would still be a goofy fit... a better torso size perhaps, albeit with too long sleeves. In short, the pro tour doesn't know what it wants to be. On the one hand, it has features that mimic a technical hard shell; on the other, it fits like a performance cross country ski jacket. Unfortunately the jacket comes up short on both accounts.frap120021 at Backcountry.com on 11/10/2012 Back to Top Clothing & FootwearMen's ClothingMen's FootwearWomen's ClothingWomen's FootwearBoy's ClothingBoy's FootwearGirl's ClothingGirl's FootwearKid's ClothingKid's FootwearInfant's & Toddler's ClothingInfant's & Toddler's FootwearEyewearGear & EquipmentElectronicsHiking & CampingBoating & MarineClimbingHuntingFishingTacticalOfficeAuto & ATVMusical InstrumentsSportsBaseballBasketballBilliardsBowlingBoxingCyclingFootballDisc GolfGolfHockeyRacquetballSoccerTennisVolleyballWinter SportsSkiingSnowboardingSnow SportsFitness & ActivitiesFitnessWater SportsSkateboardingAirsoft & PaintballOther SportsTravel Other All Brands Top Products Buying Guides Included Stores Follow us on Twitter - FAQ - Contact Us - Privacy Policy - Terms of Service - About GearBuyer.com © 2012 InfoGears Inc.
