The manual states there should be a Standalone option, but the only options available areNetwork UPS SlaveAPC UPS with SNMP managementThere is no Standalone USB mention. I have tried even restarting NAS after USB connection to no avail. Does you qnap recognise the device? In the ups tabb, any name or model number should show there if it's found.Second is the ups on the compability list? A well known brand is apc and not even all of those models are supported you see.Cheers Nas1: Qnap TS-809 Pro "3.7.1 Build 0615"Nas2: Qnap TS-119 "3.5.0 Build0816"Nas3: Qnap TS-119P+ "3.5.0 Build0816"Nas4: Qnap TS-212 "3.6.0 Build0210"Nas5: Qnap TS-259 Pro+"3.5.0 Build 0815"Nas6: Qnap TS-459 Pro II "3.5.0 Build 0815"iPad2: 64Gig 3G "iOS 6"UPS: APC Back-UPS RS 550VAQNAP Comparison Cart HERE | 1Bay | 2Bay | 4Bay | 5Bay | 6Bay | 8Bay | 1U | 2U | QNAP Compatibility List HERE | Online User Manual | Tutorials | Frequently Asked Questions | onlyalex Experience counts Posts: 1462Joined: Fri Nov 27, 2009 3:16 pmLocation: Gothenburg Sweden NAS Model: TS-639U Top Re: PowerShield SafeGuard 750 by Tech198 » Wed Aug 17, 2011 7:12 am No to both questions. It's not reporting and info about the ups.Ok.. It running latest Radiator firmware.I have a Power Shield - Safeguard 750VA model PSG750. It has a USB management option/connection but frontview on the readyNAS does not recognise the UPS (UPS button is greyed out). The UPS is recognised as a "human interface device" when plugged into a WinXP machine so i assume the cable is OK?I have searched other posts and have downloaded and checked the dmseg.log for references to a UPS and have found the info below. Can anyone advise if I can adjust any settings to get the RNPP to see the UPS or will i need to replace with a APC unit?usbcore: registered new interface driver hiddevusbcore: registered new interface driver usbhidusbhid: v2.6:USB HID core driver MBA consultants in India hermandez New here Posts: 3Joined: Tue Aug 16, 2011 7:26 pm NAS Model: TS-809 Pro Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Post a reply 5 posts • Page 1 of 1 Return to Hardware & Software Compatibility Jump to: Select a forum ------------------ QNAP General Announcements Features Wanted Users' Corner NAS Application Discussions QPKG Officials Prestashop Webalizer EZPhone BitTorrent Sync Virtualization Station Notes Station Getting Started Frequently Asked Questions Presales Turbo Station Installation & Setup General Hardware & Software Compatibility HDD Spin Down (HDD Standby) File Sharing Mac OS Linux & Unix (NFS) Windows Backup & Restore Symform System & Disk Volume Management Web Server & Applications (Apache + PHP + MySQL / SQLite) Download Station and QGet myQNAPcloud service Surveillance Station Miscellaneous Business Windows Domain & Active Directory iSCSI – Target & Virtual Disk Remote Replication/ Disaster Recovery Server Virtualization & Clustering Multimedia Multimedia Station, Photo Station, Music Station NMP Media Streaming Mobile Devices Who is online Users browsing this forum: No registered users and 4 guests Home The team • Delete all board cookies • All times are UTC + 8 hours News Site map SitemapIndex RSS Feed Channel list Powered by phpBB® Forum Software © phpBB Group Portal by KTVM Portal © 2008 nedka
